According to the 2021 census by Statistics Canada, the baby boomer generation, or those between the ages of 56 and 75 is the largest population in Canada at almost 25 per cent. In Halton older adults aged 65 and over make up 16 per cent of the population. Burlington skews at 20.9 per cent compared to Oakville at 15.7 per cent, Halton Hills' 15 per cent and Milton at 9.9 per cent.
