Celebrate Canada's Sesquicentennial this month!

There's no shortage of events happening in the Burlington area this Canada Day, so gather up family and friends and join together in a fun and exciting celebration of our nation's 150th birthday!

Canada 150 Photo Challenge – Until TODAY — June 19!
The City of Burlington is asking residents to submit photos that capture Burlington's iconic landmarks, including the beautiful lakefront and escarpment. Submit your photos on Instagram and Twitter by including the hashtag #BurlON150. Hurry! Today is the last day!

Red and White Fun Swim – July 1
Show your Canadian pride and get active at fun swims at Mountainside and LaSalle Pools. Those who wear red and white will pay just $1.50 per person. Wear red and white and show a photo of a Canadian flag in your window and get in for free!

Canada 150 Mosaic Mural Unveiling – July 1
See the community's hard work come together at this exciting event! The Burlington Music Centre will host the unveiling at 10 a.m. The Canada 150 Mosaic project brings together 150 communities and thousands of participants to create community murals that celebrate Canada's unique history and culture. Bring the whole family down to check out Burlington's finished mural!

Canada Day Celebration – July 1
Spencer Smith Park is the place to be on July 1 for a patriotic party like never before! Live entertainment will run from 12 noon – 10 p.m. with the Teen Tour Band leading the Opening Ceremonies beginning at 1 p.m. Other highlights include face painting with BeeBop the Clown, balloon art, inflatables, Canada Day 5K Run, a dog show and a fabulous fireworks display beginning at 10 p.m. A free bike valet will be offered at the corner of Brant Street and Lakeshore Road.
